Challenge
Topic work and events such as Arts Week are designed to stimulate the children’s imagination, develop their creative thinking skills and involve them in opportunities for solving problems. We hope you will be able to come into school on Friday 6th June from 3.00pm to see some of the creative work produced by the children during Arts Week.
After school use of grounds
It is lovely to see so many children enjoying the use of the school grounds at the end of the day but this can only work if the children are directly supervised by their parents. School rules regarding out of bounds and the climbing of trees still apply. Children whose behaviour towards others is a cause for concern will not be permitted to use the grounds after school.
Collection at the end of the school day
Please inform your child’s teacher or the office if your child’s end of day arrangements have changed, eg. (s)he will not be attending an after school activity/club (French Club, Team Elite, etc.). If you are unavoidably delayed at the end of the day, Key Stage 1 and Yea R children will be taken to the office to wait for you. Key Stage 2 children should also go to the office. Thank you for your support in this matter.
Lost property
We have two black bags full of unnamed school uniform and another black bag of unnamed non-uniform items, including a new-ish pair of trainers. Lost property will be on display on Thursday 12th June from 3.00pm in the hammer head in front of the school building.
Unclaimed items will be on sale at 50p per item on Friday 13th June from 3.00pm.
School lunches
The picnic bags are proving quite popular with the children. In order to make registration time easier at the start of the day in Years R, 1 and 2, we would be grateful if you could discuss your child’s meal choice beforehand. It would also be helpful if we all use the same terminology:-
School hot lunch - meat or vegetarian
School picnic bag
Home packed lunch
